Facilitator Workshops

Aims and Learning Outcomes

Aim:
To develop the facilitation skills of those supporting interprofessional learning and assessment. This one day workshop will be flexible and responsive to the delegates facilitation needs.

Learning Outcomes:
On completion of the workshop participants will be able to:

Facilitate an interprofessional group of students utilising a collaborative learning model.
Select and use strategies to enhance the learning environment in support of interprofessional learning.
Undertake individual and team development planning in preparation for facilitating interprofessional learning.

Workshop Programme

0900 Welcome and Registration
Coffee/Tea on arrival
0915 Morning Session
Group Work on Practice issues:
- Group Introductions and Ice breakers
- Learning Journey
- Introduction to the Common Learning website and using the Forum
- Meeting with experienced facilitators or Practice Based Learning (PBL) Link
- Frequently Asked Questions

Includes a break for refreshments at 1030
1300 Lunch
1400 Afternoon Session
Academic exercises and issues:
- Assessment exercises
- Peer review and Peer Assessment
- Team Work Exercises

Includes a break for refreshments at 1530
