6. What does the corporate component of the audit tool look like?

In assessing the capability of organisations to support practice based learning, the corporate component is audited against the following standards:

Standard 1: Organisation and management systems demonstrate a learning culture in an effective learning organisation.
Standard 2: The organisation has relevant policies and procedures for staff development to support learning in practice.
Standard 3: The organisation has staffing levels and learning resources that are sufficient to support practice based learning.
Standard 4: The organisation has systems in place to consider the experiences of people who access services.
Standard 5: The organisation has in place policies and procedures relevant to a safe working environment which are made available to their learning environments.

Against each of these standards a judgment is made and a score given dependent on whether the standard is fully met, partially met or not met at all. There is also a comment section against each of the judgements. The scoring allows the organisation to identify their strengths and identify where improvements can be made across the standards.
