5. What does the audit tool comprise of?

The audit tool has two components, the corporate component and the learning environment component.

The corporate component is designed to assess the capability of organisations to support practice based learning. This component allows organisational management and resource issues relevant to supporting learning to be assessed.

The learning environment component is designed to assess the quality of learning provision within a particular service, department or directorate. The service, department and directorate may comprise of many learning environments. Staff that support learning and students that are accessing the learning environment actively to contribute to this component of the audit tool.
